Monsoon Updates: Building Through the Rain

We are in the middle of monsoon season and both the hills and our moods feel completely soaked in the rain. The seasonal streams near our house are now full with rushing water. During our working hours, we have a constant background music - either splattering rain or the gurgling sound of stream mixed with bird calls and sounds of insects/toads etc.
Amidst this, we are finally moving toward the production of one of the devices we built at our collaborative deep tech center. So, our past weeks have been just filled with meetings with vendors, potential clients and consultants for certifications. It's a shift from building products to preparing to meet the real clients.
It's also the time for the annual company audit and ITR filing, and my head is full of numbers. After doing this for 9 years, things aren’t that chaotic anymore, but it still disrupts my workflow when I want to focus on technical work. Although I do enjoy working with numbers, making sense of random data and analysing the company performance, my thoughts keep drifting back to designing PCBs or spending time in the lab. Maybe, next year onwards, I will finally handover this work to someone else on our team.
On another note, I am planning to start posting regularly on instagram again. I had planned to share details of how we upgraded our CNC or how we built DIY tools to work in the remote setting. But after having a baby, finding time to click good photos or to edit videos hasn't been easy. And even though our daughter is 2 years old now, it's still a challenge. But I would still like to give it a try and to make video documentation of our work.
So, these are all the updates from our lab for now.
See you in the next one.
