No Lazy Sundays, No Busy Mondays

It has been almost 3 weeks since I arrived at my home in Kinnaur and the days are just flying by. In a place where most of the people are farmers, there aren’t any lazy Sunday afternoons or busy Monday mornings. I need to consciously keep track of days on my calendar to not miss any work related tasks.

But I am glad that this year our village at least has an internet fiber cable connection ( even if the internet stops working for hours randomly sometimes). Otherwise earlier, we needed to put our phone on the top of a window or somewhere in the balcony where there was good reception and then work using the hotspot.

The workshop I didn't teach

I came here planning to help organize a science workshop for Saryan Vigyan Foundation. But instead of actually being at the workshop, I ended up staying back to do the paperwork.

And although I miss being a part of discussions on the basic science education in schools and how to make STEM fun for students, I also don’t mind just being an enabler for others in our team. We all need to play different roles to make a group activity successful.

The Other Projects Keep Moving

While this project has been the highlight, the other projects are still very much part of our days. And Arpit is holding the fort at SoftCircuits Labs at Sarahan..

We finally received the PCBs for the hardware POC that I mentioned in my last blog, and now our days are spent writing lines and lines of code.

The setup for our collaborative deep-tech lab is almost done and we hope to work with the students for maker lab soon. We have been designing their hardware in our lab until the space is ready and one of our collaborative medtech devices has been in field testing.

Alongside, we finalized and submitted a proposal for a hackathon project. There was also some traveling, but that's a story for another day.

Soaking it all in

So, that was all about the last 3 weeks - which I spent soaking in sunshine, floating with the bright clouds against a blue sky, traveling with the stars in the night and just admiring all the shades of green around me that I never noticed before ( in our farms and the jungle beyond).

Some weeks are all about hussle and technical work, this one was about holistic growth...
